Complaints and feedback

We want every visit to be a good one. If something isn’t right, please tell us so we can put it right.

Giving feedback

We’d love to hear what we’re doing well and where we could do better. You can tell any member of our team, call us on 01632 960 482 or email hello@bayviewpharmacy.co.uk.

How to make a complaint

Most problems can be sorted quickly, so please speak to a member of our team first. If you’d rather not, or you’re not happy with the answer, you can make a complaint to our Superintendent Pharmacist, Sam Taylor:

Please make your complaint as soon as you can. Normally this should be within 12 months of the event, or of you becoming aware of it.

What happens next

  • We’ll acknowledge your complaint within three working days.
  • We’ll look into it fully and keep you updated.
  • We’ll give you a full written response, explaining what we found and anything we’re doing as a result.

Your complaint will be treated in confidence and won’t affect the care you receive from us.

Getting help with your complaint

If you’d like support making a complaint, your local Healthwatch or an independent NHS complaints advocacy service can help, free of charge.

If you’re not happy with our response

For NHS services in England, you can complain to the commissioner instead of to us. This is your local Integrated Care Board (ICB). You can find yours on the NHS website.

If you’re still not happy once your complaint has been dealt with, you can ask the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman to look at it.

If you’re concerned about the fitness to practise of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician, or about the safety of the pharmacy, you can contact the General Pharmaceutical Council.
